SCANDINAVIA: June 2001

Our trip began with a visit to the town of Geiranger, Norway, on Geirangerfjord. Polly is standing near the back of the boat on our tour of the fjord.

After a several hour hike, Polly and Matt stand overlooking the fjord.

After the visit to the fjord, we met up with Ron (a co-worker) and his wife Susan in Lillehammer. We visited a museum of old Norwegian buildings. To avoid the rain, Polly stepped under an overhang which turned out to be the bathroom (you can't see the hole in the floor).

We met up with Polly's parents who planned their visit to Sweden at the same time as ours. Paul, Pam, and Polly are standing across the water from the Gamla Stan region of Stockholm.

After Stockholm, along with Polly's parents, we travelled to central Sweden to visit Olson family relatives. One stop was to the city where the famous Swedish wooden horses are made. Dad is set atop a rather large horse.

This house is the old country home of Polly's great great great grandfather near Mora, Sweden. The relatives who now own the home are pictured on the front steps.
